I was a client at The Good Life for their 90 day program after the 45 day residential rehab I was in referred me to them. From the very beginning of my stay I was treated quite well by all the staff and other clients. My Therapist, Sigga, was absolutely amazing, it was clear that she really cared about the clients quality of life while in treatment and successful long term recovery. I am just over 6 months clean now and one of the owners, Mike, as well as Josh, another absolutely awesome staff member keep in contact and check up on my well-being fairly regularly. They are definitely in the business to try to help people rather than just to see their bank accounts grow, which I feel is a bit of a rare quality for most other treatment centers. The only negative that I can remember is that their house on Singer Island (5 minute walk from the beach) is used as a house for PHP clients and those needing a slightly higher level of care. So this means when you are a model client and doing everything expected of you, you move down to IOP which they house in Palm Beach Gardens (Not within walking distance to the beach). That house is not in the best neighborhood, not even close to as nice and well maintained, as well as being crowded with 3 to a room instead of 2 like Singer Island. I know this wasnt the case, but when I was moved to the house in Palm Beach Gardens I almost felt like I was being punished for doing the right thing and taking my recovery very seriously. In my opinion you should start out in the Palm Beach Gardens house and the model clients who are doing the right thing should get the privelege of staying in the much nicer house that is close to the beach which played a large part in why I chose to go to The Good Life (the beach is my happy place and is a great place to practice meditation). That being said I would still definitely recommend The Good Life to anyone looking for their next step after residential or even fresh out of detox. All the staff was fantastic, especially Josh and Sigga. Everyone there was very supportive and helped me out a bunch in my very early stages of recovery.

May of 2016, Mike and Kelly graciously allowed me into their center. They allowed me into their family. We had a very tight knit group there and I never felt more at home than I did then. It was the first time since I had been in Florida that I actually felt SAFE. I felt like I could heal here. They helped me with SO MUCH. I got my food stamps back. They helped me get my license from out of state again (which had been putting a damper on my job hunt), and they even took me and another girl to the Social Security office so we could get new cards. This place went out of their way to help me succeed, and I did. I had a very good job and an amazing support network. This place truly gave me a foundation of "recovery is possible". I am so incredibly grateful for the people I met and for Mike and Kelly. I still keep in contact with them and a lot of the people I lived with.

Are you actually serious about wanting a better life, and putting the drugs and alcohol down for good? Then, this is the place. South Flordia is packed full of treatment centers and I thought I have been to some of the “best” ones around, but none is compared to this place. The owners Mike and Kelly are actively involved, are at clinical everyday, and even lead some group therapy sessions! I am so grateful for them, for they have given me my life back. I have received so many tools from them, to live a “Good Life”. If you are ready to change your life for once and for all and get your freedom back search no further, for this place. Thank you Mike, Kelly and Josh for giving me my freaking life back.
