Great family trails

What a nice little jewel just outside Lawrence. Went for an early morning November walk and enjoyed the trail from the grasslands all the way up to the outlook point. The trails are well maintained and the outlook is a nice view looking over Lawrence. I appreciated the clean restroom available for use near the trailhead.

Don't let the 4 star rating deture you. It was a lovely place to explore. But let's be honest, its not the most fabulous place that I've ever hiked. I will be returning and would like to explore the Finch trails.

It is a really fun day trip if you live in the Kansas City metroplex, especially on the west side. We loved stopping by Ladybird Cafe in Lawrence for an excellent meal.

Awesome place. Great trails for hiking or trail running. You can usually expect to see a deer or two every trip. Highly recommended.

Great hike! You just might find blackberry and gooseberry snacks in early summer.
