Beautiful and peaceful. Great for long walks
Very long trails great for walking or riding bikes. A lot of birds, ducks, swans. Also quite a few folks here walking dogs. Lots of parking and a variety of places you can join in and access the trails from the road. There is a parking lot or street side parking. No fees. No bathrooms that I saw or cane across. Some picnicking happening, but not much. This is more for biking and nature walks.
Beautiful
Great place to experience nature to it's fullest. Massapequa Preserve is a beautiful natural preserve with a running/biking trail which runs north & south. Any time of the day you see people either through out the preserve. The trail extends from Merrick road up to the Bethpage state park.
