We found an engorged, Lyme positive deer tick attached to our one year old son and after we received grossly inadequate treatment from his pediatrician, we looked for someone who took Lyme seriously and would give our son the care we thought he needed. Luckily my wife found Dr. Mauss’ name from an online database and he was able to see us relatively quickly after calling his office. From our initial consultation with him, it was obvious to both of us that Dr.Mauss was exactly who we were looking for to treat our child.
Unlike the mainstream providers we saw, Dr. Mauss took Lyme disease very seriously and was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the disease. We were very impressed by his willingness to use both pharmaceutical and natural treatment options. It was refreshing to have a doctor think and prescribe treatments based on the risk & reward profile of each and not blindly follow guidelines from whatever organization they are a member of.
In our consultations with Dr.Mauss, it was evident that he was also extremely knowledgeable and independent minded about numerous other conditions that many people have long term struggles with. He would be, without hesitation, the first doctor I’d call if I suffered with any of them.
The bottom line is that I would unreservedly give Dr. Mauss the highest possible recommendation for any condition he is willing to treat. It is truly a shame that there aren’t more doctors like him.
