Hobie Beach

Great place. But we know this as the "kiddie beach"
The reason for the name is because there are no waves due to the rocks on either side breaking the Waves. Great place to bring your kids however it can get packed during warm weather. There are also showers on the side. this beach can get pretty packed compared to the other side of the rocks which is silverstrand Beach.

Lol thought all these years it was called kiddie beach lol. Was lovely and peaceful. The dredge being there takes a little bit Oh f the esthetic view away but not much
and needed.

Well loved little beach. Would normally give 5 stars but theyre doing some work right now and they've got a lot of equipment in the water. Its cool to look at but is also kind of an eyesore and makes you not want to go in the water. Im guessing thats why they chose to do the work in winter though. Otherwise great beach for little ones as the waves that come through are small and gentle. Lots of sea life to be seen there too.

This is my favorite spot to launch my kayak in Oxnard, whether I'm exploring the marina or paddling to the open ocean. You will have to jump a 4 inch curb to get to the launch ramp. During low tide there is a sandy beach; high tide comes right up to the concrete brick ramp. Parking on the gravel strip across the street is free overnight.
