  Excellent brisket, up there with the best. Ribs are meaty and tender. The four sauces at the table are varied and tasty. (I’d recommend ordering meats without added sauce so you can add your own.) Fries and cornbread are so-so, beans and greens are better choices. Great table service. I’d give it five stars if it weren’t for the absolute dump of a bathroom.

  This place knows BBQ. First time I went I got the Smoking pig burger with Mac n cheese and coleslaw. When I got home I realized I got potato salad instead of coleslaw :( but it was still good. Since everything was so darn good I went back a few days later and got the pulled pork burger with the Mac n cheese and coleslaw. I mentioned the mix up with the potato salad and coleslaw even though it didn't bother me. They promptly took the coleslaw off my bill even though I didn't mind. Great staff. Great place. Great food.

  This is as good as BBQ gets in California. They do brisket, sausage, ribs. Other stuff too but those are what matters. They even have fatty and lean brisket. You know, real brisket. The sauces are just ok and tend to the sweet side. But they do understand that they are table sauces. The meat arrives bare, as it should.
  
  The fries and slaw are quite good. The baked beans good but, again, on the to sweet side. All they're really missing is fried okra.
  
  The San Jose location is better than the Fremont location.

  Don't be deterred by the surrounding location. This place has some of the best BBQ I've ever had. Reasonable prices for SJ area, and friendly waitstaff. We've been here a few times and will be back. Thanks again for a great dining experience!

  The adage, “ Don’t judge a book buy its cover.” Is true about this place. Not the shiniest place on the outside but it’s all about the food here. We had a group of six of us, and everything we had was the bomb. I would highly recommend this be one of your stops around here! I did not regret coming here. They have nice stuffs and i would want to visit again. Their workers are hardworking and friendly
