  Sometimes you go to a place, and you know you were meant to be there. Yeah, that's a stretch for most establishments (although, the first time I stepped foot inside the Common Bond, I knew I was supposed to be there).
  
  But this studio, the Original Henna Company, for me was such a soothing place, that I immediately felt I belonged and should've visited moons ago.
  
  Soniya, the owner artist, is simply a beautiful soul. Her dialogue with life and the resulting grace about her is both humbling and inspiring.
  
  I mention that first, because I feel like meeting her and getting to know her is a part of the experience, a part of being enveloped by the energy of this calming place. There's a peaceful joy here. Or is it a joyful peace? Either way, it is healing. She is healing.
  
  The other reason that I mentioned that first is because her work speaks for itself. A picture tells 1,000 words, so here are my 2,000.
  
  Sonya is apparently on a journey to India this summer, but the studio will still be here. She is a certified Yogi and will explore other segments of her journey. Her friends and family will keep the studio open and will continue to offer henna, Yoga, and meditation classes; she'll come back once in a while. Some of the details are up in the air, but isn't that life? I'm just glad I got to catch her before she leaves for a while.
