I love the food breaux j’s serve. When you do not have the energy to cook a hot soul food meal drive over to this fine restaurant. Very clean place friendly staff treat you like they have known you they entire life. Very delicious food I will say it’s a “ must try” then keep going. Love it.now we do not have to drive to the south side to get some good soul food!

FINALLY!! Let me start by saying that I experienced the owners delicious cooking before the doors opened. I had never tasted oxtails in life (and many infamous cooks in my family have been offended by me not trying their oxtails). The owner of Breaux J's didn't have to say a word... the aroma lead me to sample his soul food. That's been over three years ago and I've been waiting for him to open the doors to a restaurant. From entrance to exit, I was very impressed. Not only is the food excellent, but the decor, the staff and the atmosphere is great. The smiling faces and courteous, professional servers are waiting to answer the question "what's for dinner?" Make sure you visit Cam's sweet stand before you leave. That's an added bonus!! Ive been a few times with my daughter since they have opened. had the oxtalis twice and the baked chicken. The oxtails were pretty good and tender. The chicken with rice was delicious as well as the greens. Every thing was very good. We will be back. Get there early or u might miss out.

The atmosphere at Breaux J’s Soul Food is friendly, family oriented and a great place to enjoy good soul food. You won’t leave disappointed from the entree to sides, your mouth will thank you. Bring your appetite and experience the taste bud awakenings.

Clean and Family Friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious. It had that feel of how my grandma use to make it soul food vibe. Hot and fresh food is a plus as well.
