  My experience with PJ at Delray Surfboards was excellent. We met and discussed my needs. I went there thinking I'd order one type of board, but after discussing my abilities, age and the type of surfing I do PJ and I came to the conclusion that a Glider would be the best fit for me. PJ said it would take about 4-5 weeks to build my board. It was done in 4 weeks. The board is beautiful with the custom colors I wanted. The glider does what PJ said it would do. It paddles well, catches more waves and is faster than my other traditional shape longboard. If you want a beautiful custom board at a fair price, in a short time, call PJ at Delray.   Pj had the board ready in two weeks which was one week sooner than his original ETA. The board looks great and is exactly as was expected. The best thing about the experience was the personal attention to every detail from pj.he genuinely cares about putting out a quality product and was a pleasure to work with.

  I LOVE my 8’0 superboard glider, it’s going to be my best friend for years to come. It has a big fat bottom that gives you a great sense of speed and maneuverability, but still floats and paddles like a longboard. You can get around, and get into any size wave. I am looking forward to catching my best waves yet with it!

  I'm a long time surfer who enjoys riding 5'5" fish shapes up to 12' gliders and everything in between. I own many different types of boards and feel that I have a pretty good understanding of what different boards are capable of. I live in Coronado where PJ the owner of Delray Surfboards lives and I have talked to him several times about his unique looking "Super" board that I have seen around. It's a shape and design unlike any other. I personally purchased a 9' version with a quad fin setup. Pointed nose and a wide tail that pulls into a traditional pin and about 23" wide in the middle. It is like nothing I have ever held let a alone surfed. I was a bit unsure of how it would ride but let me tell you this board is magic! I've been riding it for the past few days in waist to head high beach break and overhead Sunset Cliffs. Paddles like a longboard, trims unbelievably when riding the middle part of the board or higher and if you trust dropping your back foot far enough towards the tail the thing turns insane for a 9' board. It really is about as versatile a board as you're going to find. Your wave count will be way up and the fun factor is off the charts. Go get one!

  I have been riding Delray designs for the last 12 years. I started with one of the smaller fish boards and I was so turned on by the speed and control, I decided to switch out my longboards too. I have never been happier with any board. All of PJ's shapes have been good to me. I recommend these boards for any ability level. Diffidently fine tuned for the conditions in San Diego but I have also had great experience with these shapes in the South Pacific. Everything from long nose rides, to big open faces, to hollow barrels!
