  Hello, my name is Erika Velazquez... my aunt entered The Rio a few weeks ago. I cannot express my gratitude enough to the staff and the facility, especially to their Director of Nurses, Destiny Bravo. She has treated my aunt like is part of her family. The attention that she gives to her patients is incomparable. I get notify of any changes or happening in regards of my aunt’s care.
  When I brought my aunt over to The Rio, I didn't know what to expect, having a bad experience on a prior facility is hard to trust again. However, Destiny and her staff had gave me the confidence and gain my trust in this short period of time. The patience and care they give my aunt, the attention to her needs, constantly changing her diaper and bed. The therapist taking the time to call me and let me know the process of her treatment. The hygiene, a clean room all the time with nice smelling hallways. Those are some of the reasons I am very grateful and satisfy with The Rio and its staff.
  Last Friday I went to visit, and they had a Fiesta event. It was like a family gathering, the ambiance they created for the patients was fantastic. Many of the patients do not have the opportunity to be with their family, but this event helped them feel at home. The food, the music, and the environment were just incredible. I really appreciate all of it, since the decorations they took the time to make for every patient’s wheelchair, taking them on a small parade around the facility, to the mariachi and the Flamenco and folkloric dancers. The patients were singing and dancing (some of them), they enjoyed the food and the music.
  Overall, if anybody would ask me, I would tell them that my aunt could not be in any better place than The Rio. I can assure you that their attention to detail, their compassion with their patients, and their professionalism are among the things this place is unique. Thanks to all the staff and specially to Destiny.

  This building has come a LONG way
  Since changing owners and Management.
  The cleanliness, therapy, nursing , and most of all management has been nothing short of amazing. Catering to my great aunt as if she were their own family.
  The last facility my aunt was in did not hold a candle compared to these wonderful people.
  
  From the communication they constantly provide about my aunt , to the options and professional opinions they give me are above and beyond.
  
  The Director of Nursing Destini Bravo jumps through hoops for her residents and truly ensures their comfort and care in a professional manner, she makes herself available 24/7 for any and all emergencies and follows up with any issue at the drop of a hat.
  Best DON I’ve ever encountered bar none.
  
  Thanks again to this wonderful facility for all they do. I always keep all their staff in my prayers because they are irreplaceable.
  
  So in conclusion if you are looking for a place for a loved one or just need rehabilitation therapy be sure to bring them here.
  You will be highly pleased.

  The New owners here @ The Rio are soo Awesome!
  Not only have they fixed a LOT of things with the staff Thanks to the persistence of Destiny, who btw is one of the VERY BEST Director of nursing (DON) I have EVER seen!
  She honestly makes EVERYONE feel as if THEY Matter! Destiny has done Soo much for the residents and staff since her short time being here, she is a perfect example of what a DON or Nurse in general is supposed to be like.
  She makes sure that the Family of loved one's feel just as excepted and wanted as the residents themselves.
  .
  And man can she throw a Fiesta and feed a lot of people! $FREE$ for all to enjoy.
  
  I Rate the Rio a deserving 5 stars because they really show what it means to care. Even when no one else does!
  And NONE OF THIS would be possible without Austin, a really down to earth and Confident Administrator with a really nice smile.????
  Together between Austin and Destiny, they will continue to build a Haven for there residents and families like No other!

  The Rio at Mission Trails is an amazing place for residents. I travel to most of the nursing homes in south Texas and this facility is up there with the best of them. The staff is amazing working with residents and the facility is amazing compared to other facilities that I have walked in to. I would highly recommend this facility to any family.

  The building is beautiful and in a nice location. It has quick freeway access and nearby shopping for those visiting loved ones. More importantly is what's inside; the the nursing, respiratory, rehab and management staff care and are quick to respond to the needs of their residents. The food is prepared under the supervision of a culinary trained Director and registered dietitian. The building cleanliness is held to the highest standard and carried out by a warm and detail-oriented team of housekeepers. As a nursing home administrator I can say that I would have my mom and dad stay here.
