I know Dr. Rizk for many years because he was one of my fathers doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York. When I found out I too had a nodule on my left lung, I was very happy to find out he was now affiliated with Hackensack Hospital in New Jersey. He is very professional, kind and caring. Dr. Rizk and his staff provided expert knowledge and care in thoracic medicine, which consisted of an entire plan that provided steps of care, to do lists, how to complete those requirements and access to key staff members for questions. There was always a knowledgable answer and assistance with finding a solution. This allowed for peace of mind and the ability to focus on healing.

Dr. Rizk is reputed to be one of the top lung cancer surgeons in the country and that reputation is well deserved. He performed a robotic computer-assisted segmentectomy to remove three segments of my upper left lung lobe due to a nodule buried deep inside. The surgery was very non-invasive. I am almost completely recovered after a week. He is medically and professionally highly competent and he and his staff are friendly, accessible, and informative. I highly recommend him.
