  Nice campground. Office closed at 2 PM Monday through Thursday so if arriving "late" set up in the circle across from the office and pay tomorrow. There are much better campsites but I was too lazy to move. Yes it did flood the campsites near the river last year but there was ample warning to move. Most of the campground is always safe but love those riverfront campsites. Bathrooms are nice. Pool is very well maintained. Everyone is nice. No sewer hookups but the honeywagon comes by twice a week. Good cellphone reception. We stayed at another Rockford campground a few weeks ago and had no cellphone reception and no Internet on their WiFi so we were stuck in the 20th Century there. We visit the Rockford region at least twice a year and we will always be coming back to Holiday Acres. Yes there is a train but we don't care. The train didn't go through at night. No road noise.

  I had a site it right next to the river it was beautiful. The staff is very friendly if you're in Belvidere Illinois this is a campground for you

  Nice family camping grounds. Park for the kids. Special activities for the holidays. Good size swimming pool. Cabins for rent. Fun for all ages.

  We would recommend Holiday Acres! We decided last July to purchase a camper and during our search for a seasonal campground we visited Holiday Acres. Everyone there was very friendly ( including the seasonals) we decided to go with Holiday Acres and we camped for the rest of the season. We do not regret our choice one bit. We always have a great time and our grandchildren love it here. Can't wait for the season to start again!
