  From the interior decoration to the cocktail / wine / craft beer menu to the expertly prepared dishes in a semi-open kitchen, Alter House has it all. This restaurant would not only be comfortable in Philadelphia but also in West Hollywood, Brooklyn, or Manhattan. They are big on local too, going out of their way to source as much locally as possible.
  
  Yet they accomplish all of this without a drop of arrogance or pretentiousness that often accompanies fine dining. Alter does charge fine dining prices but really you get more than what you pay for with each visit. Definitely, definitely check this place out.

  What an amazing experience. Not cheap but a nice splurge. Excellent service, atmosphere and specials. Would come back again and again for happy hour!

  New twists on old classics makes for a food menu where you will question the integrity of your taste buds. The sommelier gives the best recommendations and helps select wines to your dish and palate.
  
  And the cocktails: what unique and delicious flavor combinations they use which also makes you question if there was even alcohol there in the first place as it's all so smooth. highly recommend checking this place out
