  I went to treatment in July 2018 under my own free will. I liked alcohol even the taste. I did not need a reason to drink. I drank because it was Monday, happy, sad, parties, holidays and just because. After I lost my husband, mother, and father in a short time period, alcohol took on a whole new roll in my life. It became my friend to help with the lost and sadness I felt. Then it became a second job. I was now drinking in order not to be sick. I few instances occurred, one of which being called a drunk (which made me sick) made me think about my 5 year old granddaughter repeating Mom Mom is a drunk. Not to mention 11 1/2 months earlier I was diagnosed with stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver. I came to treatment very scared, alone and the oldest person there. The staff and other clients became my friends. I learned alot about myself, some of which I didnt like, but I continue to work on these. I cant thank the wonderful staff who worked with me on the recovery journey. Everyone took a concern for my journey and my illness. Special thank you to Brandy and Arielle who without I would have never made it. Because of Foundations I currently am 4 1/2 months sober. Love Terry T

  I’m blessed to be a part of the alumni team here at Foundations Wellness Center of PA. The small facility size makes for an intimate one-on-one concentration for the clients. This is a new concept for this area, and is proving beneficial for those who’ve successfully completed our programming!
