A Little Means A Lot

Just 1.3 miles away on Harbor Island is the second North Bay Village park, Dr. Paul Vogel Community Park, once known as West Drive Park. This 0.5-acre greenspace is located at 7920 West Dr. and is open to the public from sunrise to 9:00 p.m. TPL determined that it serves 3211 residents who live within a ten-minute walk.

Abundance of Blue, Absence of Green

Although no sign identifies the park, the village's website calls it "Dr. Paul Vogel Community Park" after the former mayor. The park should have been located down the street, at the end of West Drive, where a large, empty semi-circular plot juts into the bay, providing a logical and potentially stunning gathering place.
