  Decent little park to go to. People like the camping for some reason. Amenities of all sorts. I really like the walking trails

  My whole family loves Dan Nicholas Park! It is definitely one of the best parts we've ever been to. The playground alone is awesome! We really liked that the bathrooms are close by. And the kids are always thrilled to ride the train and the carousel. The animals are special little bonus that the whole family enjoys. It is a place that we can go and I actually have a good time without breaking the bank. Would like to pack a picnic and spend the day here.

  Amazing place! This place is fantastic to bring the entire family or come in a large group. There's a lot of different activities that can be done. Also a great place for photography and events.

  It is a not so hidden gem of a park. A great place to relax and see the outdoors and ride pedal boats in the summer. Fishing is available but they charge $1.50 and you need a NC Fishing License. Wide open spaces and nice paths to explore. Bring some food for the ducks. I Never realized that they have a full campground here for RVs. They don't allow you to run generators. And alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the park. I had many good times here as a child. Looks like the good times are still there to be had.

  Our church takes the kids and adults every year. We cookout and ride the train and merry go round.
  We go to the zoo and paddle boats.
  They also have camping grounds as well.
  COOL place!
