Excellent experience. Ultrasound tech guided me through the ultrasound so I never had to ask what she was looking at made me feel comfortable and was very kind. The doctor (older gentleman can’t recall his name) was amazing. I never felt rushed and he took extra time to explain things to me. He provided the type of care I wish all doctors would! Highly recommend!
I have had nothing but an extremely positive experience with the doctors and staff at Phoenix Perinatal Associates.
I began seeing the doctors here after moving from out of state, about halfway through this pregnancy. I have a history of stillbirth and preeclampsia (and was seen and treated by different doctors during these pregnancies) and they were recommended to me from one of my friends.
We saw Dr. Hannaford a couple times, and but mainly interacted with Dr. Perlow and Dr. Fuller. Each doctor spoke with confidence and consistently referred to data when speaking with us. With their guidance, we were able to avoid any complications with the pregnancy (although I am confident that they would have detected and handled the complication quickly and appropriately) and I was able to successfully have a VBAC delivery after having a previous C-Section. Dr. Perlow referred me to a cardiologist to get to the bottom of my hypertension. In seeing other perinatologists for previous pregnancies, they always tried to treat the condition themselves, but I found it incredibly helpful to see a specialist. I am eternally grateful for their guidance and support during this pregnancy.
Once you are at the hospital, you see a different set of doctors from PPA who have all of your information. These doctors only work in the hospital. We delivered at Banner University and saw Dr. Huff, Dr. Smith, and Dr. MacArthur. Dr. Huff was on duty during the labor induction and was very informative and also supportive with the decision we made to try for a VBAC. He checked in several times to see about our progress and to answer any questions we had. Dr. Smith delivered our baby and was friendly and supportive during the process. Dr. MacArthur saw me the next day after delivery and discussed all the health information pertaining to postpartum recovery. One of the items that I appreciated that he covered in depth was any symptoms of depression. This is not something I have dealt with personally before, but after our son was stillborn, I noticed that no doctor discussed this topic in depth and that was something that bothered me thinking about other people who may struggle with this but are not given the information they need to deal with it.
I highly recommend Phoenix Perinatal Associates. The office managers, nurses, NP's, and doctors were nothing but professional, supportive, and great resources during the pregnancy. I wanted to write an in depth review after reading other reviews because I do not believe the other reviews give a full picture about the service you will receive at this office.
