Northwest Lancaster County River Trail

Nice trail but we go during the week to avoid crowds

I really enjoy this trail. There are usually quite a few people using it, but once you get farther away from the parking lots it tends to thin out. If you want to ride the length of the trail, a good starting point is Columbia Crossings as they have plenty of parking there. Just a short while up the trail from there is the rock tunnel which is really neat, and from there on well, you just have to go yourself and experience it. Don't miss the white cliffs of Conoy close to the other end of the trail. If you haven't done this trail yet, go do it:)

The Northwest Lancaster River Trail is a great Trail it's about 11 miles long so if you round trip it's 22 MI. The day these pictures were taken the river was too high to get through the whole way. There's one spot where the trail goes really close to the river and if the river floods that is not possible to get through

A good place to exercice, to walk, to run or ride bike and be in contact with nature, many animals, flowers plant and trees. A big free parking lot and a bathroom, small children recreation area. No food or drink you can get.there is a place for boat and a pavilion, rustic tables and banch

Great, long paved trail running along the Susquehanna river for walkers and bikers alike. Some portions are very long with little to no shade available so keep that in mind. Trail can also get flooded fairly easily from rain.
