My family and I have been seeing Dr. Ehrlich at Bridgewater Optometric Center for several years. He is so pleasant to deal with--there is never any trepidation about the "doctor visit." His staff is also very pleasant and organized. It is easy to set up an appointment. I highly recommend him.
Always a pleasant experience going to this office for our eye exams. The doctors are very nice and very thorough. Tina at the front desk is friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended!
I have been a customer for over 10 years. Everything has been fine until the Warby Parker era. Dr. Ehrlich has been outspoken of his dislike for Warby Parker (to me alone, on one occasion about 18 months ago). It makes sense since it poses a threat to his business with respect to whatever commission he obtains from eyeglasses sales at Pearle. No issue there. His opinion is his to utter, even if it is unsolicited.
The issue is when Warby Parker calls him (on my behalf) to obtain my prescription and his office fails to follow-up. Warby Parker has left a voicemail with his office two weeks ago. The first time they called, they were left on hold indefinitely. I made sure that they had the correct phone number. They do.
I called the office today and was confronted with an administrative roadblock - the need to sign a release. I refuse to go out of my way, make a special trip to the office, and sign a form. There was no offer to email (or mail) the form to me. I did not sign, and will not sign. I have been loyal to this office for over 10 years, even after I moved a further 30 minutes away (so now I drive from Rutgers where I work, to Somerville for my appt., and then home to Hopewell ...because I like the guy). The gesture is not returned in kind with respect to where I want to purchase eyeglasses from.
For future customers - if you intend on getting glasses elsewhere, mind the release. If you experience pressure as to why you do not want to overpay for glasses, review the experience. I've been waiting for eyeglasses since February 20th. Dr. Ehrlich's office is the reason. There is a contentiousness toward Warby Parker that is spilling over into the office's customer service. Whether or not the office denies ignoring Warby Parker's phone calls and voicemail, I can say for certain that when I called today I was met with agitation at my request. The office still gets four stars for overall service but maybe three stars is warranted.

Please support his Bridgewater Optometric Center practice - 908.685.0794 Although the doctors are wonderful in this practice the office has become horrible. You come for a 230 appointment and are shuffled around and are not seen by the doctor until 420.
