(February 9, 2017, 1:03 pm)The Sam Houston National Forest is dotted with Wildlife Ponds to provide water for wildlife. While they are not very big they usually are quite deep and can hold water even during droughts, although can get scummy. Small fish, vertebrates, and invertebrates, occasional ducks, and wildlife viewing possible if you are quiet and still.
