This quiet, almost secret, riverside park originates from early 20th Century philanthropism. It is surrounded by wharves and heavy industry and borders on the local residential redevelopments. There is a plan to open access to the east when Royal Wharf completes a further stage of building work.
- A small but mature and varied aboretum
- Very well tended mature roses
- Well watered football pitch
- Working free water fountain
- Hosting the gates from the nearby Harland and Wolff shipbuilders
- Riverside benches
Apparently the Tate and Lyle football team used to practice and compete here back in t'day.
