  Rated 4 only because of new parking rules for guest. Otherwise, I’ve lived here since 2014. Sure there’s been a few issues, but anyone who tells you they are living somewhere perfect is lying to you. Northgate Oaks is superb... the ease of access to several different highways is a plus. Shopping is close by and schools are good.
  
  The community is nice and well kept up. The staff is friendly.
  
  I say do it! Remember, I’ve been @ Northgate since 2014.

  Northgate Oaks has been a decent place to live.
  --Management is strict; however, everything (including charges for certain maintenance and fees for violations) is outlined clearly in the lease so make sure to read it thoroughly before you sign. (and keep a copy out to refer to if you are unsure of if they will charge for something).
  --The area is quiet, the complex does sit underneath the approach path to Hobby so you hear airplanes regularly, but I have not found it to be too disturbing.
  --Office staff/management are not overly friendly, but are professional and take care of issues in a timely manner
  --Maintenance staff is FANTASTIC- Fermin and the crew are very nice and very quick.
  --MAKE SURE TO "VISITOR" REGISTER ALL CARS THAT ARE NOT THE ONE YOU NORMALLY USE. I did have a rental car towed because I wasn't able to register it and didn't park it in a visitors spot. They have recently put registration online so it is very convenient to access, though inconvenient to do every 24 hours. It has, however, opened up a lot of visitor spaces so my guests have not had an issue since the policy shift.
  --I have had some neighbors smoke weed inside their apartments and the smoke has drifted into mine through air vents and through the spaces where the pipes go into the wall, but they have been respectful and understanding when I have spoken to them about finding a solution.
  --Neighbors are quiet and nice, walls are thin, prices are good for the condition of the apartments and amenities.
  Hope this helps give a general overview of my experience and what to expect.

  Management and maintenance are amazing and quick to respond. The property is nearly always clean and the property is SAFE! Never had any issues, the walls are a bit thin but theres really never anything going on. Sometimes I forget I have neighbors. My only downside would be parking, I've always been able to find park but my guest haven't always had that luck. It seems like they're trying to improve that.

  Nice place. Thinking of moving there at the end of April. Would like to see different floor plans tho
