  Gorgeous day. Guys are laying the ground work for another path. We traveled as far as we could go, and it is nice. Every trail was lightly traveled today, and when you do run into people, they are keeping their distance to stay safe from the virus concern.

  This is one of my favorite little areas to hike although it is getting notably more crowded lately. It is free and you can park by the park or school or even in the adjacent neighborhood to access the trail. You can take several routes once on it to get an easier or more rigorous workout. It has a fantastic 360 degree view once you are at the top! It is best hiked in the cooler months as there is little to no shade or trees but not too difficult (again,you can choose different routes for more cardiovascular intensity). Some places are slippery and rocky so I recommend hiking boots.
  
  ????????It is dog friendly (on a leash) but bring water and waste bags. Also, if your dog is aggressive do not come on this trail as it is narrow in places and impossible to pass without getting very close in places.

  I would have given 5 stars. Part of the hike was a little too challenging. I had no traction on so parts and was sliding down places. Beautiful views. Would have liked a little more signage like distance on trail and distance on various loops. Warnings about steepness could work too. I was so impressed with folks that knew and ran the trail. This was my 1st time. Couldn't find it with Google Maps until I tried to figure out what the trail was called.

  A difficult hike worth the views! From the top you can see all the way down to South Mountain. This is also a great place for wildlife.

  A low mountain trail you could do it with ease about 4 miles loop. Can view a wide range of Peoria from the top. A direction board saying difficult climb is not that bad.
