I've been here a few times now and this has become my favorite vendor in the market. Very good food. Always consistant.
Amazing chef. Food was seasoned perfectly and tasted so good. The pork that was in the Haitian breakfast plate was crispy on the outside yet oh so tender on the inside. Thanks Fritai!!!
First time eating at Fritai with friends. One friend arrived prior to myself and others and tried the seafood pasta. She mentioned it was bland surprisingly. I ordered the chicken wrap with plaintain chips and wings, while a friend ordered the fish of the day (trout).
The chicken wrap was wonderful, but the plaintain chips were not something I would order again. The wings were fine and did lack seasoning.
I sampled my friend's fish, which was good. It sat on this cake looking dish that tasted as bad as the texture. I still do not know what it was. My friend did not eat it. She enjoyed the rice and beans.
The service was great. The staff was very enthusiastic and answered all of our questions. If you are seeking a unique eatery, Fritai is a place to visit. It did, however, lack seasoning in the food.
The Haitian rice can be made vegan with tofu. It was so good! The plantains were crisp, the tofu had a nice finish, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the greens had great flavor. The portion size was great for dinner. So happy to have this option. It was one of the best meals I have had all week!
