    Room was clean and comfy and so was the hotel itself. I would stay again. I was just not expecting the big difference in level of service that is even possible to offer these days. Staying in hotels is different these days. Expectations for guests need to be well communicated and managed to minimize frustration of guests and the workers that do show up. While workers may know what is going on and their limitations, not all guests do. Make it clear to the guests at check in and post in the rooms. Every one can appreciate that better.

    This is my first EVER experiencing a Hampton Inn that did not rate 5 stars! As I am a Hilton Honors members, I've always expected...and experienced ONLY the best from the Hilton brand! This hotel in Matteson, IL did NOT measure up to my expectations at all! The Front Desk agent was the beginning problem ...the room itself was the OTHER problem!Oh well, I guess 1 bad out of 10 isn't too bad! I certainly will not consider staying at this hotel again if I ever need a room in that area. Sorry. This was NOT the HILTON standard.
