  This review is long over due. I switched teacher's for my son who plays trombone a year ago. My son absolutely loves going to his lessons with Bobby. We have noticed that my son's playing has improved tremendously over the past year., Bobby has helped my son with breathing, interpretation as well as basic theory.

  We found Bobby to tutor our 8th grade daughter on euphonium. Bobby is an extremely smart, excellent instructor. He really has a knack for zeroing in on problems and fixing bad habits. Our daughter looks forward to the lessons. With Bobby's help, she picked up the trombone for Jazz band in a few short weeks, and now she splits lesson time with both instruments. Bobby is flexible, working on what we need to work on - whether that's fundamental skills and exercises, preparing for auditions, working on current band music, or learning how to play duets and ensembles. He has also started teaching some music theory at our request. Bobby is extremely polite and provides the most comfortable atmosphere. We are very fortunate to have found him.

  My 7th grade son is a current student and looks forward to working with Bobby every week. Bobby leads the lesson but allows for a lot of personal input from my son, which encourages him to really think about the music he is playing and the technique he is using. Bobby provides an environment for growth at my son's personal rate with assignments each week that challenge him. Bobby has the skill set to work young students, and that is a talent that not many musicians have. I feel very fortunate that we found Bobby this year.

  Bobby creates a very welcoming, fun and relaxed learning environment that really allows the performer to develop to his or her fullest potential. He is great at adapting his own teaching to best accommodate the performers' skill level and desire for improvement. Most importantly, he really emphasizes how music should be fun and meaningful, not stressful. Overall, Bobby is a great guy and I'd highly recommend him as a music teacher.
