  I was described as an "orthopedic dilemma" by one surgeon due to long list of surgeries/ongoing related issues. Over many years I have been to more PTs than I would care to mention and had thought I had seen some "good" ones. Then I was referred to Health in Balance and, specifically, to owner Katie Van Lannen. Now, I not only know what "good" really means, I know excellence. It has been life changing, in the absolute best of ways. I am so very, very, fortunate.

  Dr. Lauryn is a Pelvic Floor PT and I would highly recommend all pregnant and postpartum women to seek her services! She not only can help with common pregnancy ailments and pain but she also has expertise in labor and delivery preparation that can prevent tearing, optimize the baby’s position, aid in the final pushing phase, and understand how to optimally heal afterwards. Her pelvic floor therapy should be standard of care for all women!

  I love Health and Balance. The flexibility of not needing a Dr order makes it easy to get relief. Therapists are friendly, empathetic and professional.

  Everyone there is very friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. It is obvious that cleanliness and safety is important to them as well. I’ve gone to physical therapy at other places in the past, and can honestly say the therapists there are top notch!

  I have been going to Health in Balance over many years for various issues. Every therapist I’ve had has always gone above and beyond a typical PT session you’d find most places. They give the time that is needed and have always been why I’ve needed (sometimes it’s been more hands on, sometimes it’s been teaching and pushing me physically). They have helped me enter into surgeries stronger and helped with the recoveries! I’d highly recommend them to anyone!
