Southlake General Surgery - Dr. Valeria Simone MD

Dr. Simone performed hernia surgery on me and was absolutely fantastic. I had put this procedure off for way too long. The first surgeon I met with spent about 3 minutes with me and told me how to schedule surgery. Dr. Simone spent over an hour with me explaining the procedure, showing me photos of what was wrong, putting me at ease. On the day of surgery, the OR was behind schedule. She spent a lot of time with my wife and I keeping us informed, and being a genuinely concerned physician. While I was in post op she reviewed the surgery with my wife. In todays world of doctors offices being a volume business, Dr. Simone's time and concern was remarkably refreshing. I hope I don't become a repeat customer, but if you are in need of a great surgeon that has a bedside manner to match, Dr. Simone is 5 stars.

Dr Simone is incredible - I will go to her for all my needs as long as she is working! An absolute joy working with her and she takes so much care in explaining everything in great detail. She is so kind and a fun person to be around.

Warm, humane, compassionate, smart, and kind surgeons do exist! Although the extreme pain involved with abscess drainage is well documented, few physicians care enough to mitigate that pain and to recognize when drainage would be more appropriate in an OR. She took the time to make sure I was on the appropriate antibiotics not just any antibiotic, set fair and reasonable expectations for recovery, and didn’t rush to pull me into surgery. Thank you!

I was just recently under the care of Dr. Simone and the staff of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Southlake. I could not be more pleased with the help I received when setting up my appointment with Dr. Simone. Her bedside manner is so comforting from her confidence in herself because she is so knowledgeful. She takes the time to explain everything in detail to you until you understand exactly what you need to have done on a surgical level to better your life. The Hospital she is associated with was so helpful in getting everything lined up and explained everything to me from finances to the Pre-OP and Post-OP information and made it an easy pain-less process from start to finish and I really feel like it was a short process. From the time I first met with Dr. Simone to be hernia free today was really within weeks. I couldn't thank you enough for the excellent care and beyond excellent level of comfort that was provided from Dr. Simone and the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital. They come highly recommended.

Dr. Simone is truly a one of a kind. I can say she is the best doctor I have ever had to deal with. She did surgery on my son and followed up on him herself. You know when you walk in the door that you are in THE best hands. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. Her office staff is the same way. You literally walk away feeling like you know them.
