Dr. Henkin gave me back quality of life. After he performed my laminectomy I was able to stand up straight, not looking down at shoes anymore, able to walk with confidence that my legs will not go out from under me with no warning, the tingling is gone. I had a discectomy with fusion of my lower neck C6-C7 due to a herniated disc and arthritis back in Feb after years of pain that had started nearly a decade ago with a burning pain in the upper middle back. It had gotten to the point that I was in constant pain affecting neck and traps whenever I turned my head or hit a bump in the road affecting my sleep, daily activities, etc. All I could think about throughout the day was how bad my neck and traps hurt. Went to 3 minimally evasive spine doctors, one told me they could fix it with a small incision in the back of the neck, the other two recommended the fusion and long recovery period. Tough decision, and I put it off for another few months. I am SO GLAD I went with Dr. Le. He took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, recovery, and answer all my questions. At 4 weeks post op I still had some trap pain that concerned me. At 8 weeks it had lessened significantly. At 12 weeks I'm happy to say I don't even think about my neck anymore. Pain is completely gone. Dr Le is amazing! I would highly recommend him to anyone with serious neck or back pain that requires surgical correction...

A week ago I was finally released from my neurosurgeon’s care. His name is Dr. Tien Le of Brandon, FL. After 4 months of agonizing pain with no relief in sight. Visits to ER, Urgent care, primary care, Orthopedic institutes, physical therapy, steroid injections, pain killers left and right, muscle relaxers, epidural injections that should have never taken place. Denials from my health insurance for an MRI until I got proactive in following the medical requests for the MRI from the different places I went seeking help, and finding out they were not forwarding all the requests from my insurance company to “the company that decides if you are approved to have an MRI”! I found this wonderful Surgeon through a friend of a friend. I was able to see him right away. He took the time to explain my MRI to me and that the only option was surgery. I took a turn for the worse before my scheduled surgery date with my pain. Took no chances here and my husband drove me to Brandon Hospital ER. That day my pain was off the charts. My blood pressure went sky high ( I tend to have low blood pressure). I was admitted and had surgery the next morning. That same day I was walking PAIN FREE at the hospital! I am so blessed to have crossed path with this wonderful surgeon! I am also so very grateful to have such wonderful caring family and friends! They are all a gift from God! Special thanks to my husband, children, JuJu, my sister in law Eneyda(Nelly)and friends that gave me the strength to keep going.
