Master Kim's MegaKick Tae Kwon Do & Alpha Krav Maga

I am the director of an inner city program called Run The Race. Most of the children who come to RTR don't have opportunities for classes such as taekwondo. Master and Mrs. Kim have taken 11 of our children under their wings and have taught them that they have strength, talent and skills they didn't know they had. They have taught our young people discipline, focus and that hard work pays off. They are friendly while being professional, they expect the children to do their best and the children rise to that. They are cheerful and respectful and the children learn by their example. We are very grateful to Master and Mrs. Kim for welcoming us into their Megakick family.

Highly recommended! We joined a while back and have no regrets. They are very professional and make it so fun for the kids. My son gets so excited to go every week. Everyone is so nice and extremely patient with teaching and building confidence and positivity in each child individually.

I don’t often leave reviews, but I honestly don’t know how this place will ever get anything but five stars. While I understand that truly learning any discipline is an investment, I’ll admit that I was initially hesitant - this is not a low commitment offering even for beginners. I was used to signing my kids up to dabble for a few weeks or months at a time with activities, so when we were hooked after a two week trial, a 6-month commitment for my 4-year-old in Tiny Lions had me shaking in my boots. I’m so glad we went for it.

I’ve watched Master Kim and the angelic Mrs. Kim take my sweet, spacey, couch potato-y, easily overwhelmed preschooler and turn her into a confident, capable kid. Even on the days where she isn’t in the mood, once she walks through those doors, the positive atmosphere takes over and she comes out transformed. I have yet to see a single child act disengaged during Tiny Lion (ages 4-5) classes, or fail to grasp concepts. Master Kim does not leave anyone behind, and uses humor, enthusiasm and a warm sternness to coax the best out of each child. While my daughter was warming up to things, Mrs. Kim was with her every step of the way, offering a gentle alternative to the excitement when needed. I just can’t say enough about this studio and their approach.

After a month of watching my daughter’s confidence and focus improve, I had to take the plunge and join myself. Classes are now the highlight of my week - a rocking mental and physical workout.

Master and Mrs. Kim have been fantastic! My son is 4 years old and has been going to MegaKick for about 8 months and he loves it. He has progressed through the curriculum and I have seen noticeable progress much faster than I expected given his age. I was hesitant to start my son so young but he has a great time and has done a good job picking everything up due to the great training provided.

Master and Mrs. Kim are great with the kids and have been wonderful given the craziness of COVID. They have adapted and offered virtual classes during the shutdown and now offer both in person and virtual options depending on student preference.

I am very happy that we found MegaKick and I hope that my son will continue here for years to come.

We joined Master Kim’s classes about 3 months ago. My children love it there. Both Master and Mrs. Kim are extremely professional, caring and dedicated to their students. I value how promptly they respond to our emails, messages, etc, anytime I reach out with questions. They go above and beyond to ensure that children learn self-discipline, resilience, self-respect and respect to others, while learning the taekwondo discipline and also having fun. As a mother, I can appreciate the dedication Master Kim displays in class towards the students . You can tell he strives to teach them with kindness but also discipline and rigorous practice. He also takes time to get to know their personalities and better help them to progress and build self confidence. It does show in their overall behavior, attitude and energy at home. I see great positive changes in both my children, already! Mrs. Kim is very welcoming, thorough and always stays on top of everything.
I recently tried my first Krav Maga class with them and was thrilled! I plan to continue attending these classes in the near future. I HIGHLY recommend this place.
