I have been bringing my daughter's garments to Kim since she was about 4 years old. She is always very quick and her prices are wonderful. Even after moving to Vancouver, I still travel down to Portland for my tailoring. Thank you so much Kim! Nevaeh has always looked amazing thanks to you.

Kim is an incredibly hard-working woman. She has tailored my wedding dress, some shirts and pants for my spouse, and a jumpsuit for me. We have been pleased with every item.
The fact that she moved here from Vietnam and started this business by herself and keeps it going while raising kids and taking care of her family is amazing. She deserves your business!
That said, I think it's important to recognize that she does not run a business like white, western businesses are typically run. I think understanding and graciousness around that is key. Her storefront may seem "disorganized", and she may seem "unprofessional" to some, but it's crucial to recognize that an assessment like that is incorrect and misguided. She has different cultural values and norms than many of her customers.
So I have found it helpful to call before I come, because even though she has store hours, sometimes things come up and she isn't there. I also call a day before I plan to pick up the item, because she often takes items home to continue working on them and being home for her family. That way, she can bring the item back to the storefront by the time I pick it up. When I call, I also say my name and what item I brought in. She's told me she often remembers phone numbers better than names, so some descriptors are helpful to remind her which of the many customers I am.
I hope this helps curb some of the frustration I've read in reviews. Kim is amazing.

Fast and friendly! I will keep coming back for alterations, for sure. Had a tube dress that needed to be taken in and a pencil skirt that was hemmed. Both turned out excellently!

I've never had anything tailored, so we asked some friends where they went for the bride's wedding dress. She did a great job! The bride's dress was significantly too large and heavily beaded, but it was taken in to perfection and on time. The wedding coordinator even commented on how well done the tailoring was, specifically the bustle for the train and how well the strapless dress stayed up without slipping.
