Macayo's Mexican Food

I've certainly had better mexican food in the past, but still this place is not bad. Service is excellent, fairly quick and very attentive. If you ask to sit in the back porch near the water, the ambiance is great. There's a tree there that has a lot of birds and I liked it. Serving portion is fairly generous.

My family was visiting from out of town - last minute we decided to find a restaurant that could accommodate 22 people at 5:00 on a Saturday evening. Talked to about 6 different restaurants, they all said sorry, they couldn't help us. The manager at the Mesa Macayo's said, "give me 20 minutes, and I'll call you back." He did call back, and told me he was able to call in another server, and they would be able to accommodate our group (with about 3 hours' notice!). They set us up in their upstairs lounge at 3 different tables. We had the space all to ourselves - it was perfect. Carlos, our server, was awesome. We kept him busier than a 1-legged man in a butt-kicking contest. Our party consisted of 9 adults, and 13 children, who ranged in age from 16 down to 6 months. Carlos treated everyone, from the oldest to the youngest, with complete respect and kindness. He kept us supplied with chips, salsa and drinks. The food was delivered hot, without delay, and was DELICIOUS! The only complaint was about the fish tacos, which weren't that flavorful. Everyone else loved their meals. It was a wonderful dining experience for our family. Thank you Macayo's for going above and beyond to make it happen!

Almost always great customer service. I love the ambience of this place. And their outside patio is right next to a neighborhood man made little lake so it's very relaxing. We have had our company Christmas parties in their open fireplace room and it's always been great and they've been very accommodating. ( Except for pandemic Xmas) they're tamales are very good, carnitas very good.
