I've been running since 1974 and, over the years, I've suffered three rather serious knee injuries. I've always recovered without surgery, but the rehab periods have been long. The last one, about 4 years ago, took me 18 months to get over. So recently, when I started having knee pain again, I immediately transitioned to walking. But then Lakshmi hooked me up with a pair of Kangoo Jumps and some coaching. After an initial try we made a simple spring change to soften them a bit. Then, with the right springs in place, she got me acclimated to them and prepared me to try a run. Last weekend, I hit the local fitness trail and turned two, three-mile runs... COMPLETELY WITHOUT DISCOMFORT. If you've got a bit of knee pain keeping you from a good workout, give Lakshmi and Kangoo Jumps a try. You will be pleasantly surprised!
