Burger Pit,dine in OK NOW

Most of my reviews are complaints but this place was exactly what it needed to be!!! Burger was fresh and very well prepared! Baked potato instead of french fries and you'll thank yourself. Staff was friendly and quick. This random detour is now a favorite place! NOTE** Apparently the farm they have used for years is closing down :( I'm sure they will find a supplier with as fresh and tasty stuff as now BUT get the classic flavor ASAP

Omg... The food and service is so amazing. I remember my mom and Nana taking us to Burger Pit in as kids and I'm so glad this one is still around.

Stopped in to grab a burger and fries here on Thursday after work, absolutely one of the top five best burger I’ve had in the bay area, cooked perfectly On absolutely perfectly toasted sourdough. I ordered a double cheeseburger on sourdough And my partner ordered the steerburger and we split an order of fries. Not too greasy not to lean, if you have a chance to stop in I absolutely recommend that you do.
I do have a soft spot for places that I’ve been in business this long, as I’ve been here since 1964, but I can absolutely see why they stayed open this long. The woman who took our order was also very friendly and helpful and polite, and the server he brought us our food on the patio with cheerful and helpful as well.

The burgers are delicious, cooked just how you want them. And the chicken fried steak was " the bomb" according to my daughter.

UPDATE:So I had to go to three Target stores. Long story short I ended up in San Jose. So I just had to stop and get me a steer burger with cheese and bacon. OMG it was so good....

This place has 3 more years on the map. I highly recommend that you go there and Sample anything before it is too late. I grew up in this place. Food here is excellent. The location here in San Jose the very last one. I would hate to see it go. Therefore I will take every chance I can eat here. It's that good.
