Robertson Millpond Preserve

This place is absolutely incredible. Imagine hiking, but instead of walking, you are floating amongst the trees in your canoe, or kayak. There is diverse wildlife, including frogs, turtles, snakes, and birds, everywhere! On my last visit I brought my girlfriend, and she was upset she did not bring her phone to take pictures, because in her words, "this is like a fairy tale." The bugs are not too bad, and you are pretty much constantly in the shade, so you are protected from the sun. The path is well marked with numbered bouys, and the entire loop takes about 45 minutes-one hour. This place is a true hidden gem.

Amazing kayak trail. Water is like glass. Navigating through the trees in the water is almost like entering another world! Very well marked, so I felt totally comfortable navigating for the first time alone.

Its so peaceful and lovely views ... love watching the people ride lil boats ... paddling along...
I love to fish here.. never caught anything too big... but a ton of small throw back sizes...
Its worth the trip to walk around or fish or paddle boats...

Serene, beautiful and a rare boating experience that is almost entirely under a canopy of trees. If you must speak, keep your voice low for the best wildlife viewing experiences. There are currently no boats to rent at this park. For now, all paddlers BYOB. (B for boat, NOT beer.)

A short trail marked with 73 buoys, you should use a leisurely pace for optimal enjoyment. You can pack your snacks and water very lightly.

One of the most peaceful and special spots to kayak in the area. The biome is super unique to our area, and the water is like black glass. Buoys mark your path through the trail, and it's shaded for 75% of the way through.
