The food is pretty good. You get fried cornbread with each meal and it brings back memories of my grandma. The service is good because there's usually a line. The atmosphere is country soul food hole in the wall. It always looks a little dark but the sanitation grade is "A". Try the turkey wings and greens...delicious!

The food and the service is fantastic. Everything I tried was delicious. We had the fish, corn pudding , chicken and dumping, Mac and cheese, and cornbread. We also had green beans, pig feet, and dessert. If you are really sensitive to salt you may want to skip the green beans. I thought they were great but my mom said they were a little salty for her (but she ate all of them). The honey bun cake and the banana pudding were also excellent. Especially the banana pudding. It's the cooked version and it is wonderful. I wished I had gotten 3 orders of the banana pudding. It was really that good. I'm definitely going back here. It's a 45 minute drive from my house to the restaurant, but it's so worth it.

Absolutely hands down one of the best authentic soul food restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of dinning at. From the time my girlfriend and myself entered into the restaurant , we were greeted and throughly explained the menu by a employee. I highly recommend this restaurant, some of the best soul food in the Carolinas.

Let's start by saying there's plenty of soul and a large amount of love that goes into making this food. I was very overwhelmed by the flavors coming out of this small restaurant, I was lucky enough to be in the area. Thank you all for making my first time experience to remember. If you're in area don't hesitate to stop in, trust me you won't be disappointed. You will leave wanting more. Stay hungry my friends, enjoy.

Love this place, best soul food around, I don't mind driving 30 miles up from Raleigh. The all-you-can-eat element gives you the chance to try a little bit of everything which I recommend that you do. The food is great of course, the people are very friendly, the turkey wings, smothered pork chops, and the turnip greens are my favorites but be sure to try the honey bun cake which is exactly what it sounds like. And hey, if you ever wanted to try pigs feet this is the place to do it! Don't let the modest accommodations deter you, everybody knows you don't get the best soul food at a country club!
