Joyful Senior Living

We could not ask for more attentive and caring people than those at Joyful Senior Living to watch over my mother. Our family feels beyond blessed to have found them. After some terrible previous experiences involving both home health care and a larger assisted living facility, we were afraid we would never find quality care for my mom. Then we found JSL, and once we had her moved in we truly couldn't believe the difference. Gino and Jessica are devoted to their resident’s wellbeing and it’s obvious they choose their staff very carefully. Not only is my mother always clean and well dressed, she is well fed with homemade meals every day that look so amazing sometimes I wish I could join them! Gino, Jessica and their assistants engage with their residents and we have received many videos in which my mom is singing along with other residents and staff, or is being encouraged to dance or laugh. These are things that are becoming increasingly difficult for my mom and so it is very important to us that those caring for her continue to interact with her in these ways, and that is exactly what is happening at JSL. The home is always clean and there is always music playing. Visitors come to sing or play music for the residents often. Gino and Jessica communicate with our family in a way that my mom’s previous caretakers never did. While my mother has some difficulty communicating with us, we always know when there is a need or a concern and whether she’s had a less than great day or an especially good day. Our family is grateful every day to have found caretakers such as these.

For us, it was a difficult decision to place our mother in a nursing home, but it became increasingly clear, due to deepening dementia and multiple falls that she needed more care than we could give her. My sister-in-law found Joyful Senior Living. The Christian atmosphere of this home is the best place for her. Jessica and Gino have worked with our family to make my mother comfortable there. They have kept us informed about her health and activities and by their questions to us, they really know her. I live over 400 miles from the home, I am in touch with Gino and Jessica through zoom, email and text and feel comfortable about my mom’s living situation. Any time I call about a problem, usually that my mother’s phone battery needs to be charged, the issue is swiftly taken care of. I would recommend Joyful Senior Living to anyone who has to place a loved one in a nursing home.

First impression was everything. The owners take pride in serving and motivating there residents. Well structured and organized programing. Most of all a safe environment to work and live. So blessed and Thankful to be apart of Joyful Senior Living.

First things first: the owners (a married couple) are fantastic. They are compassionate, organized, and very involved in the day-to-day running of the home. They hire staff in part based on their level of compassion for the residents.

The home and rooms are truly beautiful. The food is high quality.

There is a genuine interest in helping residents do more of what they like to do.

Communication has been great, with honest answers to questions and proactive notification about important matters.

I rest easy knowing my loved one is being well cared for at a home that she enjoys.

Recently my mother and I went to tour Joyful Senior Living and we were very impressed! The home is beautiful, clean, warm, and inviting. The staff is very attentive to the residents and genuinely care about their happiness and well being. There are so many things the residents can enjoy. For example a good book being read to them or listening to a musician playing on their beautiful grand piano in the main family room. The Joyful Senior Living is definitely a place I will consider for my father.
