Instructor is very friendly! I had never ridden a horse before and the instructions were simply and easily taught. They allow you to go at your own speed and are patient. Horses are very calm and well trained. Would highly recommend if in the area.

What a blast! We hadn’t ridden horses in years so the refresher before the ride was appreciated. The horses were amazing. It’s true what they say about Tennessee Walkers, the Cadillac of horses! Stan was patient, kind and informative. This is such a unique experience and we would highly recommend you make time to do this when in the area.

This was AWESOME! We totally enjoyed our 1 hour ride. The weather was great. Stan was an excellent guide. Before the ride he gave us very simple commands to make our ride enjoyable and the horses responded very well. You don't have to be a pro you'll know what to do if you listen to Stans simple instructions at the start of the ride. The breeze off the water and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore was so relaxing as the horses walked along the shore. We look forward to doing it again and again. What a wonderful experience this was! I gifted my husband with a ride on the beach for his birthday. Neither of us had ridden a horse in years, and yet that didn't matter at all. If you've never ridden before, or have limited experience riding, don't worry about it. Our Happy Trails instructor was so knowledgeable and kind. He gave us a crash course in riding, and we felt so comfortable riding in a small group. The horses were all Tennessee walking horses, made for beginners. The ride was just beautiful! Nothing like it! To be sitting tall in the saddle while viewing the gorgeous Amelia coastline was just amazing and so relaxing! The price was beyond reasonable, and the experience was everything we hoped it would be. We didn't take pictures, but we could have, if we'd brought our phones with us. I definitely recommend you bring your phone, and book a beach ride with Happy Trails! You won't regret it.

Side note: I was injured the day before the ride. I had broken 3 toes, and yet I was still able to ride comfortably.
