Had a spine fusion surgery done. Dr Hua & the Staff have been great pre and post surgery, they always show care and compassion.

I have had 3 surgeries with Dr. Hua, 2 fusion surgeries and difficult because of my spine condition. I chose Dr. Hua out of 5 surgeons that I interviewed because he had only 1 bad review back in 2018 which was related to his staff. I could not find any negative reviews at the time which helped allot. The 1st thing DR Hua tried was an electronic stimulator, and although a good product, it was not helping due to to the severe disc degeneration. It became clear that I needed fusion surgery.
After talking to Dr. Hua I felt like he answered both my wife and all of my questions thoroughly. I literally felt like he had my back! The 1st surgery was 13 hrs., the 2nd surgery was 12 hrs., I believe Dr. Hua did the best job he could & spending 12 & 13 hours was not someone trying to do a quick fix. That's a long time, 8 hours more than expected. The 2nd surgery required a 2nd surgeon to move my organs while the S1 was fused from the front of my spine. So far, no organ problems.
Its been a long, painful recovery process and Dr. Hua has been personally involved. I feel like Dr. Hua cares about his patients. Thanks to Dr. Hua I had realistic expectations and I am positive I will continue getting better. I still have bad days in pain but slowly getting better.
Recovery from fusion surgery, 4 stages, is lengthy and all surgeons confirmed it would take a minimum of 12 months to recover. I would enthusiastically recommend Dr. Hua to any patient with complicated spine issues. You should do everything possible before fusion surgery. It is a long painful recovery process but with the right surgeon you can get better.

Dr Hua is a great MD he listens to you and you can tell that legitimately cares about his patient and has a great deal of knowledge as he recognizes what is going on by the symptoms and can deal with it appropriately, My wife has recently had two operations performed by him a repair to her neck and a repair to her lower back he did a great job and has helped her so much, deal with her recovery.
