I recently spent a 1/2 day on the boat with Andrew and was super pleased with my experience. The boat was clean and well-maintained, the rigs were ready, and Andrew made sure the fun was going to happen. Andrew is truly a professional guide, not to mention, courteous, friendly, and patient. He is truly passionate about fishing and wants to teach you the sport and technique of fishing this great area.
I caught over 20 fish during my short time on his boat, and he was right there with me, hooking and reeling. Quantity isn’t as important though, as quality. Andrew knows where the fish are hanging out but doesn’t waste a lot of your time waiting for the big catch if he knows it isn’t coming. I caught species I have never caught before, including an awesome first Snook and a very nice Gag Grouper. I also caught a keeper trout, which Andrew cleaned and prepared, along with Mangrove Snapper and Skip-Jack.

My son and I went out with Captain Andrew on a gorgeous October morning. We had a great time on his boat and learning from him. We netted some (okay, a ton of) bait fish and we were on our way. Once we started fishing we were immediately getting hits and quickly started landing fish. Captain Andrew showed us the ropes and made sure it was a fun day. We also hit the mangroves were we caught quite a bit of Snook and a nice Redfish. I would highly recommend going out with Captain Andrew. He’s super personable, knowledgeable and an overall joy to be around. I know that the next time we come down this way to go fishing we will be going out with him. We couldn’t ask for a better guide!

Had a blast fishing with Capt. Andrew! Despite some tough conditions he worked really hard to put my son and I on some quality fish, and it paid off at the end of the day! We spent the last couple of hours wearing out the Snook, and had a blast doing so! He was great with my son, and ensured he was involved and having a good time! Very professional, but also very friendly and easy to get along with which makes for a great day on the water before you even factor in the fish. Great boat and fishing equipment as well, and everything was rigged to perfection which makes a huge difference in being able to catch the fish when the opportunity presents itself. 100% would recommend Crabtree Fishing charters for everyone from the serious angler to families looking to get out and just catch some fish!

Took my two sons on a father/son fishing trip with Captain Crabtree. We had an amazing time and caught fish every stop we went too. He kept my little ones entertained as well as continual fishing. It’s hard to keep younger ones focused when there aren’t bites so he knew exactly where to take us to keep the action going. We will definitely book him again next time we come to town.
