Railcar Modern American Kitchen

We went here on a weeknight. The staff were great. We had the cheese curds for an appetizer and we loved them! The entrees included the salmon dish, another fish entree and a chicken with thick noodles dish. The presentation was beautiful. Overall, my dinner mates loved their fish dishes and my noodles with chicken, but overall I felt the flavors were not spot on. My pasta dish was bland and had asparagus ends that should have been cut off. However the drinks were great and the peppermint chocolate cheesecake was delicious! We all enjoyed that!
I tried to even the stars among all aspects of the restaurant and the reviews of my dinner mates and me. We will stop back again in the future most likely.

Nice menu. Broccoli appetizer was excellent. Drinks were very nice. Salad was excellent. 2 of us had the prime rib. It was very disappointing , wasn't cooked as ordered not real tender and little to no flavor.

Everything was wonderful! We all had to try each other's because they were all so good. My husband loves chicken fried steak and said this was the most fabulous he has ever had. Then to have unlimited bloody Mary drinks didn't hurt the whole meal.

Had a group dinner with the choice of 5 menu items. I had the steak and shrimp. The 3 shrimp were the largest I'd ever eaten & tasty, the beef sirloin was med rare and a bit chewy. Unusual curried potatoes- and they missed my crispy onions ( my partner and lady across from me had them). Considering there were about 40 people in our group the service was good and very friendly. And it all moved at a good pace.

Had the smoked salmon hash. It was ok. Daughter had the nachos and they were tasty. Other daughter had the eggs Benedict and she said they were good. We each had mimosas that were yummy. The service was great but it was pricey for food.
