Mona Janfaza, MD

Dr. Janfaza performed a double mastectomy on me in May of 2019. From the first moment I met her, her bedside manners have been the best. I’m not the type of person who needs coddling and she learned that about me quickly. Janfaza organized a plan for me immediately and we got right to it. Really great doctor, and an even better person!

Being diagnosed with breast cancer can be a devastating experience. Especially when it comes at a time when you are grieving and still trying to wrap your brain around losing your mother in a span of 3 months to cancer. But I can say that having Dr. Janfaza as a breast surgeon has made this experience for me a lot less difficult. From the very beginning I have walked away from my visits with her feeling hopefull and well informed. She was very patient and thorough with explaining things regarding my diagnosis and treatment. She is a great surgeon, I had minimal pain and no complications after having a bilateral mastectomy and lymph node removal. My friends and family were impressed with how she confidently and patiently answered all of their questions after my surgery. You don't feel like just another patient, her manner makes you feel that she genuinely cares about you as an individual. And her nurse Lenore, is awesome as well. I never had to worry about scheduling appointments or being confused about instructions regarding my care. She is so warm and kind. I know that they have other patients and lots of work daily, but they quickly respond to your calls and ease any concerns you may have. They have definitely set a high bar for doctors and nurses. I may even be a little spoiled now 🙂.
