There were so many things we loved about Miss Jessica’s center. She really took amazing care to our daughter, paid attention to and adjusted to her developmental milestones, and loved providing her with educational enrichment activities. We loved how often she brought the children to library field trips for various activities or programs. She was amazing with guiding us as first-time parents and answering any questions we had about our daughter’s development. She was also extremely communicative of situations our daughter was experiencing from diaper rashes, interests in food, mood changes, which we really appreciated. We knew instantly that she cared about our child like her own.

The only thing that prevented me from giving the full 5 stars was reliability. While my husband and I have somewhat flexible jobs, we both work full time and don’t have a lot of support when the center closes. Additionally, Miss Jessica is a one woman show, so if something comes up such as appointments or personal situations, the center closes early or is closed completely. For our personal situation, that became frustrating and hard as we relied on her availability in order to be able to go to work ourselves. We had a hard time accommodating frequent sudden closers or early pick ups without taking unpaid time off but then had to pay the center for that time.

I feel that parents with very strict on-site work schedules and limited pto probably will not benefit to the schedule this center provides. However, she is a wonderful care provider that could probably benefit more hybrid or remote working parents, part-time workers, or even teachers!

Other pros and cons:
Pros:
-Kind and attentive to the children in her care
-Amazing educational stimulation between activities, field trips, etc.
-Very communicative with parents

Cons:
-Reliability in schedule sometimes
-Location can be tough for drop off and pick up - Winter is tougher with snow conditions and ice (Owner needs to be more attentive to making drop off location safe by sanding/salting driveway)
-Organization is lacking a little - There have been a few times my daughter came home with a diaper that was not one I provided the center with and lunch containers sometimes didn’t come home (Maybe add the need for parents to label children’s items or provide different organizational system)

Jessica is a very caring, warm and trusting childcare provider. She treats the kids as her own. The daily updates and app are a big plus. Her home daycare center is clean and my son loves it!
