Cary Car Care

I first went to Cary Car Care several months ago, when I needed a replacement for my stolen catalytic converter. They found the parts -- no small feat on a car as old as mine -- and took the frustration out of working with the insurance company. I went back recently because that aging car needed long list of maintenance items done - rusting this, squeaking that, etc. We went through the list item by item so I could pick out the most essential repairs while still mostly staying within my budget. Brian and the rest of the crew were helpful and clear and kept me informed throughout -- so there were no surprises when I got the final bill. All in all, they've done right by me twice now in the past year. I think I've found my go-to mechanic.

My wife and I have been taking our cars to Cary Car Care since just after they started in business over thirty years ago. We originally chose them out of convenience since we lived just around the corner. Though we now live on the other side of an increasingly large town, we continue to place our trust in their skill, expertise, and perhaps most importantly, their integrity.

They were very nice. I scheduled a 10:00 AM "will wait" appointment in advance for an NC state inspection and emissions test. I arrived early and was the only 10:00 AM "will wait" appointment. I waited in the lobby. They moved my car into the garage at 10:30 AM. The actual service took 15 minutes. The check-out went very smoothly. The service cost $30, as advertised.

I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars because my "will wait" appointment was at 10:00 AM and no one even touched my car until 10:30 AM.

Billy was great. Totally upfront about everything from the get go. Kept me up to date every step of the way. For the amount of work and repair done to keep my old clunker moving the pricing was very reasonable. He even went out of his way to find parts at a better price point for me.

Definitely one of the most professional and straightforward mechanics I've dealt with. 10/10
