If you have been struggling with chronic illness, but not received a definitive answer, Dr Melamed will change your life. After 18 years of struggling, I am so thankful I found him, and after extensive bloodwork, I now have a clear vision of what is going on inside me. After countless Drs who told me I looked fine, or was too young to be sick, I now have peace of mind knowing that it wasn't all in my head.
I've been seeing Dr. Melamed for almost two years, regularly. I think he's great. Dr. M. is practicing on a level far above most physicians. I have a serious neuroimmune disease, and it took me 10 years to find a doctor who is educated and aware of the disease. Dr. M. is a wonderful person who actually cares. He has an integrative approach to immune probs, and uses specialty labs to uncover pieces of the puzzle. He also thinks outside of the box and looks for underlying causes. The negatives: be prepared for a long waits-- he is always booked about 2 months out, and it's not uncommon to wait for an hour passed your appointment time. If you have a difficult or serious case- this is your man!
