Danny’s Pizza & Deli

My favorite place Danny Jr is the best. I only want to speak to him when placing my order

Hilltop pizza/deli was my favorite place to go to for a sandwich and pizza. I could grab a sandwich and my wife and daughters could get pizza if they wanted. Unfortunately the quality of the food and service changed approximately 1-2 years ago when the guy who made the pizzas tragically passed away. I stopped going for a period of time (after many messed up orders and a couple of rude encounters with employees) but i passed by a few days ago to see it reopened under new ownership. I stopped in and tried the chicken parm roll (I used to get that from hilltop all of the time) and taste wise it was the best one I've had in years. Unfortunately the middle of it was ice cold. I also tried a cold cut hero and the quality/taste of the cold cuts were great. I didn't love the bread though as it was very soft and I prefer a slight crunch. If they got there bread from Rockland Bakery that would make the sandwiches so much better. I give them 4 stars because the taste of the food was very good and the guys working inside were friendly/attentive. The quality of the bread can be fixed and they'll learn to cook/reheat the food as time goes on. This place has great potential and ill definitely give them another chance.

I’m happy to see Danny’s is open and good luck to the new owners! We picked up a tray of the BBQ wings for a party and they were big, juicy and full of delicious, sticky BBQ sauce. When I say finger and bone licking good...they were that good!
We look forward to trying other items on the menu soon!
