    A beautiful area to walk and enjoy nature. Today we launched our kayaks and enjoyed an easy paddle upstream and then back down.

    Nice rustic trails following the Myakka river, but trails are not well marked.

    I'm not from the area. Good idea to take a picture of the trail map if you mistakenly walk past the shoulder high box with map pamphlets in it. 🙄 😂 These trails are comfortable, quiet, and calm. We thought it was strange that we saw no animals or insects. Only noise we heard was from other walkers and a boat on the river. There are benches for resting in the trails. No bathrooms or running water or picnic tables. Bring out what you bring in. There are dog poo bags available. It is a great place to walk.

    Excellent place for a quiet, short hike. Great views of the Myakka River. Large, easy to follow trails. Within 10 minutes of my hike I saw countless lizards, a gator, and an owl. I highly recommend this area!
