Very nice campgrounds. Fyi, this is a bear campground. We had 1 visit last night, 1 visit this morning and about 1hour ago at 430pm we had a momma with a cub.

Very content with this site!:) decent sharing from other campers between sites.

The bathroom stalls were extremely narrow, not the cleanest, and the thinnest toilet paper that was hard to get out— that would be my only complaint…

And yes, we did see a bear there! Lock up all your food out of your car and in the bear locker. :) would definitely go there again:)

I tent camped for three nights towards the middle to end of May of 2022. I heard there were supposed to be a lot of bears, but I did not see one at all, which I was actually bummed out about. My camp neighbor saw one earlier in the morning before I arrived for the first night. There's tons of wildlife! There's also a trail that goes all around the campgrounds and part of it leads straight out to the lake. Bathrooms are nice and well kept (just make sure to bring your own soap and towel), and there is someone patrolling the grounds every hour or so. Fire pits are very large and have a grill you can put on it if you want to smoke something, and they have charcoal grills if you prefer that. It's also not far from the nearest market and about 10 minutes from Tahoe City if you need anything more. I only gave it a 4 because the sites could stand to be more private, and the roads/parking spaces are a tad confusing if you've never been there before. Overall, it's a lovely campsite and I would definitely visit again.

Great campground, clean, a good amount of space between sites and perfect trees for hammocks! However, we did leave a night early as we encountered bears 3 times in the first 24 hours there- twice walking through our site looking for food. It’s definitely a hard issue to control, but scary to be on alert all the time for bears who are bold and have very little fear of humans! I just wish I had known more about the bear situation before choosing to camp here!
