The Charlotte Assisted Living & Memory Care

I went to visit my father in law who moved in to The Charlotte last week.I was so impressed and happy about everything I saw. The staff is sweet, personable, and truly care for the residents! They interact with visitors and make sure all needs are met! I’m a nurse and have seen the worst in care. This place is phenomenal! My husband and I are in Chicago and we are so thankful knowing our Dad is being cared for the way he deserves to be. My mother in law found this gem and is able to be with her husband as often as she wants , which is daily! His residence is updated, clean , and brand new! Thank you to The Charlotte!!

I enjoy working with our members each day and bringing smiles to their faces. I enjoy being a part of the life enrichment team because we truly embody the word team. There is nothing that we won't do to support each other and bring joy to our members.

Last weekend was my mother’s birthday. With all the Covid restrictions and regulations, we were afraid we would not be able to celebrate with her. However, after getting connected with Tammara, the Social Director at The Charlotte, we were able to plan and then enjoy a mini parade/party outside with all the trimmings! My mother was surprised and delighted. She later said that she didn’t think we would be able to even see her let alone have a safe and fun celebration. Thank you to Tammara for making it possible!!

My daughters and I have been going to The Charlotte to volunteer since this summer. We have been doing window visits from outside with residents and making chalk drawings in the parking lot. Due to COVID we cannot go inside, but the wonderful Activities Director, Tammara, was still able to find ways for us to help bring joy to residents. The residents seem to love it there and all the staff we have met are very caring and compassionate and always looking for things to make the residents feel more at home. It is clearly a great option for the Charlotte community! The facility itself looks beautiful and we hope someday soon to go in and visit residents in person. They definitely do their best to make it a great place to live!

Mom has been in memory care at The Charlotte for about a year. I couldn't be more pleased with the care she receives. It's been a tough year as the staff struggles to care for their residents during the covid pandemic, but they've managed to keep the virus at bay in the facility. Kudos for that! Mom is happy, comfortable, and content there. The food is excellent. The floor plan in their Memory Care unit is simple and in no way confusing for their residents. Population is small, meaning residents get individual attention. The Activities team keeps the residents pleasantly occupied. I'm pleased with the environment and care Mom is getting.
