I have worked with Kelly Hoxsey off and on for the past 16 years. Kelly is an incredibly skilled and compassionate individual who has helped me through some of the most difficult times in my life.
I cannot recommend her highly enough. Her skills in therapy are obvious, but what makes her truly special is her ability to connect with her clients and make them feel heard and understood. Kelly has created a safe and supportive environment, which has allowed me to explore my thoughts and feelings honestly and openly. Kelly knows exactly what to say and even though I may not want to hear it, she is always right. She makes you look at situations for what they are and doesn't just agree with you every step of the way. She pushes you, in the right direction and she's continuously effective and efficient.

In addition, I appreciate the way she compassionately points out areas where I am responsible for changing my thinking or behavior - even when (actually, ESPECIALLY when!) it’s something I may not want to hear. Her truth-telling is always accompanied by actionable strategies and most importantly for me, accountability.
Her use of EMDR and cognitive behavioral therapy have created changes more quickly and thoroughly than I could have imagined. Counseling is hard work, and I’m grateful to have partnered with Kelly on this journey.

Over the course of 10+ years my family and I (as a group or individually) have sought out counseling. We have always had a wonderful experience working with Kelly. My family and I have been through some challenging life stages and she has been instrumental in helping us individually or as a family work through those times with a new approach and skill set to draw from long term. Given our unique situation, we had to work with other providers for a year (due to geographic limitations) and it strengthened our opinion of Kelly and her professionalism. I look forward to my sessions with her. I have had tremendous growth with her support and guidance. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for an effective, knowledgeable, conscientious, kind and professional therapist.
